Here's the latest weekly referee round up. As always, we'd love to hear your comments and also, whilst you are here, please take time to vote in our poll.
Read on for this weekends summary......
Aberdeen 1-3 Hamilton - Steven McLean
Aberdeen - 5 yellow cards issued to Diamond, Duff, Foster, Grassi and Maclean. 2 red cards for Diamond and Foster. Hamilton - no cards issued
Rookie referee Steven McLean may have been hoping for an incident-freeĀ afternoon to ease him into the world of spl refereeing, however, that wasn't the case in a game that included 5 yellow cards, 2 red cards and a penalty for the visitors.
Hamilton took the lead after 60 seconds and 5 minutes later had a penalty claim turned down. Imrie was then upended by Duff in the second half allowing Hamilton to finish the game off. Subsequently, both Foster and Diamond were sent off after receiving second yellow cards to end an eventful afternoon's refereeing for McLean.
How did you think McLean performed in the game? Were the red cards justified?
Celtic 4-0 Motherwell - Alan Muir
Celtic - no cards issued Motherwell - 1 yellow card issued to Craigan
There was little of note in terms of controversial decisions in this high scoring game. It was a tough day for Motherwell as Celtic increased their winning streak to 6 games, however, it appeared to be an easy one for referee Muir.
Or is that not the case? We would love to get your views.
Dundee Utd 1-2 Rangers - Stevie O'Reilly
Dundee Utd - 2 yellow cards issued to Robertson and Watson Rangers - 1 yellow card issued to Broadfoot
Kris Boyd was in the heat of the action in this hotly contested affair, scoring his 100th Scottish Premier League after 2 minutes then having a penalty claim turned down on the stroke of half-time.
United also claimed for a penalty in the second half, however, it was turned down and Robertson was booked for diving.
Were United hard done by? Should Rangers also have had a penalty?
Falkirk 1-1 St Mirren - William Collum
Falkirk - 2 yellow cards issued to Duffy and Arfield St Mirren - 1 yellow card issued to Potter and a red card issued to Innes
The major talking point in this relegation battle saw St Mirren concede a penalty and have Innes sent off after an off-the-ball incident with Falkirk's Brian McLean and Arfield duly converted to put Falkirk into the lead.
There were no further major incidents reported. Is that correct or did you have a different view of the afternoon's events? What was your opinion of the penalty and red card?
Hibs 1-2 Hearts - Douglas McDonald
Hibs - 2 yellow cards issued to Hogg and Murray Hearts - 2 yellow cards issued to Zaliukas and Elliot
The first half of the Edinburgh derby was quite a tame affair, however, it burst to life after the half-time break when Hibs were awarded a controversial penalty. McDonald pointed firmly at the spot when Rankin went down but television evidence appeared to show very little contact between Zaliukas and the Hibs man.
There were no further talking points reported. We would love to hear the views of Hibs and Hearts fans on the major incidents.
Kilmarnock 1-2 St Johnstone - Iain Brines
Kilmarnock - yellow cards issued to Hay, Wright and Hamill St Johnstone - yellow cards issued to Duberry, Craig and Davidson
Iain Brines waved away a penalty claim in the first half of this crunch game for Killie when the ball appeared to hit Duberry's arm.
St Johnstone then had their own penalty claim turned when Craig went down as he cut in front of Kelly.
Hamill was then booked for a penalty-box dive as the afternoon's third penalty claim was turned down.
Despite the season is coming to a close and a number of games are often regarded as 'meaningless', this weekends' games certainly had their fair share of controversial incidents. We would love to hear your views on them......so over to you!
